SHERIFF RAYMOND SUPPORTS MAYFIELD’S ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PLAN
Calls for deportation of illegal aliens in county jail.
Vero Beach, FL — Indian River County Sheriff Raymond announced his full support for Debbie Mayfield’s plan calling for the deportation of illegal aliens in the Indian River County jail.
“Debbie Mayfield’s plan makes complete sense for both the criminal justice system and the taxpayer,” Sheriff Raymond said. “When it becomes law, I will implement her proposal immediately,” he continued.
Mayfield, Republican nominee for Florida House of Representatives, District 80, announced her immigration reform proposal last month in response to what she called “an outrageous waste of taxpayer money.”
Every year Florida spends an estimated $155 million to incarcerate, feed, and provide healthcare benefits to illegal aliens serving sentences for crimes they committed after entering our country illegally in the first place. Debbie Mayfield’s criminal deportation plan helps solve the problem by creating a new law enforcement partnership with federal immigration officials. Once fully implemented, Sheriffs Deputies in Indian River County and throughout the State will be trained for Immigration and Customs Enforcement so they can process criminals for deportation.
“This plan will save taxpayers money by deporting illegal aliens in our jails,” Sheriff Raymond said. “This will speed up the deportation process of illegal aliens caught committing crimes in our community, free up much needed jail space to prevent overcrowding, and save precious tax dollars that would be wasted on the housing and feeding of these illegal aliens in our jails,” he continued.
